Ballyduff Youth Drama has received a grant of €1,000 to support activities through the Diageo Ireland ‘Gifted’ programme, which in total is donating €50,000 to 18 groups on the island of Ireland. The grant means that the drama group will be able to stage its annual drama show this year.

Mark Dunphy, a Solution Architect at Diageo Ireland and Scriptwriter for Ballyduff Youth Drama, commented on the award:

“We are absolutely delighted to receive this award and would like to sincerely thank Diageo and the ‘Gifted’ programme. This will be a great boost to our finances for this year. In these tough economic times, it is very hard to put on a production and any help is gratefully received. There are many costs associated with the production of a show and this €1000 will go a long way to ensuring the Drama Group will continue with renewed enthusiasm.”
