The 2017 Carol Nash Waterford Motorcycle Festival welcomed bike lovers far and near between July 7th and 9th. The festival was brought to Waterford in association with Waterford Harley-Davidson Ireland and Freewheelers MC Ireland.
The festivities kicked off on Friday evening, July 7th via a Music Trail and finished with a street party at ‘The Barn’ on Meeting House Lane early Sunday morning.
The Custom Bike Show wowed bike enthusiasts with a wide array of different bikes while accompanied with tunes from various live bands.
Some of the live music featured was from Rock DJs, The Ringers, Cider Wasps, The Silk Road, The Renegades, Delta Dogs, The Sparrows, and Juicebox Ireland.
One of the biggest highlights of the event was Saturday’s ‘Boobs and Balls’ charity ride-out held in aid of the Solas Cancer Support Centre, which is expected to raise abundant funds for the cause.
Dealer Principal of Waterford Harley-Davidson, Lenny Burns, says that the amount of funds raised will be revealed a few weeks from now, but the anticipated results look promising.
“At the minute it looks like we may have raised between €7,000 and €10,000. It was a successful event, the weather was really good, and it all went smoothly. This year was definitely busier then last two years.”
