Since starting comedy she has performed at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, the Galway Comedy Festival, in Best of Irish at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, at the BudLight Comedy Revue and was a Semi-finalist in the Paramount Comedy’s So You Think You’re Funny? competition. Within just a year of starting stand-up Eleanor was asked to perform in Dublin’s Vicar St for the RTE production The Liffey Laughs, and BBC’s One Night Stand. He was also part of the recent British (and Irish) Invasion Tour in New York and regularly plays the “Best of Irish” shows at the Edinburgh Festival. He filmed the stand up show, “One Night Stand” for BBC television and the Irish Stand-up show, the “Liffey Laughs” for RTE as well as writing and performing “The Insomniac Club” for BBC radio. Colum McDonnell is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer, widely known for his appearances with the dynamic duo Podge and Rodge. What he may lack in stature, he gains in laughter. ‘The Wee Man’ hails from Dundalk and quickly established himself as a firm favourite on the Irish comedy circuit, with his unusual and often self-depreciative outlook on family, life, love and the pain of being the last living hobbit in Ireland.
Colum has played all the major clubs in Ireland including Vicar Street and the Laughter Lounge, touring with the likes of Ardal O’Hanlon, Joe Rooney, Jason Byrne and Colin Murphy. 2008 has been a busy year for Colum. He was voted onto The Sunday Tribunes ‘50 To Watch in 2008’ list and also starred in the lead role of short film ‘Up For Air’, which was screened at The Belfast Film Festival and Galway Film Fleadh, and is scheduled to be aired on RTE.
Chris Kent is an up and coming young comedian from Cork. He started out doing gigs for fun around his home town of Cork. He rapidly expanded his network to places such as Galway, Dublin, Limerick, Waterford, Manchester and most recently Sydney Australia. He has worked alongside some great acts such as Ardal O’Hanlon, Karl Spain and Joe Rooney to name but a few. He has become a familiar face in clubs such as Cuba in Galway, The International in Dublin and City Limits in Cork. His style is sharp and preys on his own everyday life. His ability to laugh at himself gives for some great comedy.
