Day Tripper is here!

ME2014 DigEd27Anyone that was at Madness for the first Day Tripper event last year would probably agree that, in terms of atmosphere and entertainment, it may well have been the best night out ever in the city.

This weekend, Day Tripper is aiming to recapture that feeling by bringing you three brilliant international headline acts, with Kaiser Chiefs playing Friday (July 4th), David Gray on Saturday (July 5th) and Paloma Faith closing the show on Sunday (July 6th). These three acts are playing high profile slots at more established festivals like Glastonbury, V Festival and Bestival over the summer, so it’s great to see them including Waterford on their travels.

Across the weekend, there’ll also be a great mixture of top quality international, national and local support acts including Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott (The Beautiful South), James, Walking On Cars, Cathy Davey, Hermitage Green, Booka Brass Band, Jerry Fish, King Kong Company, O Emperor and Propeller Palms. You’ll also find an improved layout at Bolton Street this year, with new positions for the two stages and a large marquee for sitting down for food and drink. Tickets for all days are available on the way into Daytripper 2014, with the box office located at the Mall in front of the Waterford Crystal building. Have a great weekend, music lovers !
