Trapped between expectation and passion, they fight to keep up public appearances while secretly venturing into unfamiliar musical worlds.
With their reputations, friendships and identities in question, they steal each other’s songs, costumes and spotlight. Extreme musical virtuosity spans the ridiculous to the sublime as this willing couple swap their keys, strip off the stereotypes and let their naked talent shine, all in the aim of finding their true voice. As it turns out, they definitely sing “Both Ways”!
Including numbers such as “Nessun Dorma”, “Till I Hear You Sing”, and “ I am Changing” as well as a variety of bespoke Medleys and Mash-ups from the Opera and Musical Theatre repertory, this show will give you everything from Puccini to the jewels of the Musical Theatre such as “The Phantom of The Opera” and “Dream Girls”.

Said Paul: “I started working professionally in 2010 when I was engaged in the role of “Squelch” in Love Never Dies (Australia), that is where I was fortunate enough to start working with Gavin Mitford. In 2016 I worked with him again in Germany on the same production and from there we solidified a wonderful working relationship and friendship. Having then met Lara in 2017 in The Phantom of the Opera (West End), this new project was born, and it has been an absolute blast. We recently met Matheson Bayley after performing at the Mad Trust “West End Eurovision” and it was the best musical investment we could have asked for, because now we have a world-class director and a show with world class music. What more can you ask for?”
After a roaring success at the Casino Estoril in Lisbon (Portugal) ‘Both Ways’ will make its Irish debut at the Theatre Royal.

Said Director Gavin Mitford: “Both Ways is a show that exposes the hidden talents of two world class Opera singers. Incredibly virtuosic musicians capable of slaying any style of music thrown at them. These singers are astounding, bold and hilarious as they re-invent classics their way!”Both artists have performed internationally at the National Opera of Bucharest (Romania), Teatro Carlo Felice (Italy), Teatro Del Giglio (Italy) and performed on Broadway (New York). Currently both having had performed on London’s West End lead roles of Piangi and Carlotta in the world’s longest running and most successful musical theatre production, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’.
