Dance for Life to return in 2017!

Following success of the 2016 Dance for Life, the Solas Cancer Support Centre is delighted to announce that the event will be returning next year. Application forms are now available should prospective dancers like to apply.

Said Solas Centre Chairman Dr Brian Creedon: “To kick off 2017 we are looking for participants to undertake a 12 week training programme, staring in early January. Dances taught will include – Tango, Charleston, Paso doble, Salsa, Waltz, Foxtrot, Jazz, Swing, Cha-cha to name a few! You don’t need a partner and it’s open to all ages and fitness levels.”

Dr Creedon added: “This is a very exciting event that will help fund the activities and services that will be provided by the Solas Cancer Support Centre in 2017. Participants will be asked to fundraise and sell tickets for the show. We will offer as much support as possible to the dancers in their fundraising endeavours.”

Event choreographer Michelle Condon explains that every dancer will learn one dance as part of a couple and also a group dance. Michelle said the show will “take the roof off The Theatre Royal on Friday, April 7th next!” 2017.”
