Jonathan Morris at Christ Church Cathedral

A native of Wexford, young pianist Jonathan Morris is currently studying under Hugh Tinney at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and is a Leaving Certificate student at Newtown School in Waterford. He has already been awarded numerous scholarships and awards at RIAM including the Segal cup for Pianoforte and the Tynan Cup for Piano Concerto. Jonathan has won numerous awards including, in the past year, the Segal Cup for Pianoforte and the Tynan Cup for Piano Concerto at RIAM, First Prize at the Junior Concerto Competition at the Dublin Feis Ceoil, and overall winner for Senior Pianoforte at the Feis Maitiu in Cork. Jonathan was selected to take part in the Clandeboye International Festival, conducted by Barry Douglas last summer. He has recently been accepted into both the Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Jonathan will be performing a coffee concert which includes music by Chopin, Debussy and Beethoven.
