Summer Film Camps are a roaring success!

Some happy faces recieve their crew t-shirts and graduation scrolls at the Young Irish Film Makers summer camp premiere.
Creativity ran wild this summer as Young Irish Film Makers held their Film Camps for 8 to 18 year olds. The camps were a roaring success with over 90 young people coming together to have lots of fun making movies. In total, 14 short films were produced over the three weeks, with the young people getting to create their own script, shoot their own movie and attend their very own premiere.
Stories were created from scratch each week with subjects ranging from ‘The Chair of Wonder’ (the story of a young girl who buys a chair that can do absolutely anything) to ‘The ‘H’ Factor’ (a heaven versus hell battle settled with an X Factor style dance off!).
Each fun filled week finished with a premiere style showing of the weeks work, with the hall in YIFM transformed into their very own cinema, complete with big screen, booming sound system, and popcorn for everyone! Check out the short films online at www.vimeo.com/yifm.
Young Irish Film Makers now plan to run a Halloween Film Camp in October during the mid term break with a scary movie theme to the week. So if you are up for some fake blood and spooky soundtracks, contact us now on 05677 64677 to book your place.
