Albert Lee – a true guitar legend!

Guitar legend Albert Lee & his superb touring band, Hogan’s Heroes will play the superb, intimate setting of ‘upstairs’ (Stage 2) at Forum Waterford on Wednesday, 30th April. A Grammy Award winner and by common consent one of the world’s finest guitar-players, Albert Lee has appeared on hundreds of CDs as a session musician, so for any discerning guitar fan, this gig is a must.

Albert Lee’s unique style has influenced an array of famous guitarists who have followed in his distinctive footsteps. He is a true guitar virtuoso, and one of the most respected musicians in the world. Equally at home as a rocker as he is a country guitarist, his famous composition, ‘Country Boy’ features some of the hottest guitar playing ever recorded. In a career now spanning 40 plus years, Albert Lee has recorded and performed with the biggest names in the music industry including: Paul McCartney, Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton,Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Joe Cocker, Linda Ronstadt, Rodney Crowell, Earl Scruggs, The Everly Brothers, Bill Wymans Rhythm Kings and many more. Hogan’s Heroes, Lee’s touring band, features a group of outstanding musicians with musical pedigrees to die for. Between them these guys have worked with: George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Alison Moyet, B.B. King, Dexy’s Midnight Runners, Pulp, The Beautiful South, Kenny Rodgers, and Paul Young, to name but a few.
