‘Are We Famous Yet ?’ win ‘Battle of the Bands’ in Tramore
“Are We Famous Yet ?”, are a 6 piece teenage band from Tramore, Co. Waterford who got together as part of the Klub Muzik Young Bands Project.
The band consists of Jamie Hegarty on vocals, Niall Power on guitar, Daniel White on guitar, Jack Howard on guitar, Caolain Power on bass and Dean Hearne on drums. They beat off stiff competition to win the ‘Battle of the Bands’ in Tramore last week.
Although all under the age of 16, they are making waves in the local music scene having played a number of gigs in the Waterford and Tramore area including; The Klub Muzik Teenage Rocks in O’Sheas Hotel, Family Fun Day in The Tramore Racecourse, Murph’s Bar, Teen Discos in the Grand Hotel, “The Craic in Kilmac” and recently The Battle of the Bands in O’Sheas Hotel which they won first place in the under 21 category.
Their unique sound includes music ranging from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Rage Against the Machine. The band have been together for a little more than a year and already have a large fan base.
