Bluegrass Festival
Now into its 16th year, The Guinness International Bluegrass Festival in Dunmore has grown in reputation each year since its founding to become one of Ireland’s premier country and roots festivals. The last weekend of August is now pencilled in for music pilgrims from all parts of the globe as Dunmore East welcomes throngs of musical folk for banjo pickin’, mandolin’ pluckin’, step dancin’, fiddle playin’, double bass clawin’ sessions, general celebration and banter. With 6 stages of free Bluegrass music and some very renowned domestic and international acts, this years Festival is sure to go down a treat!
This year’s acts include: Jack Grace Band (USA), Knotty Pine, 3. Wookalily, Molly Hicks Band, Southern Tenant Folk Union, Bending the Strings, Sullivan Brothers & Sean McKerr, Little Ass Birds, Blue Stack Mountain Boys, TXUTXUKAN, Southern Welfare, Woodbine.
