Fionn Regan goes electric

FionnReganLongThe line-up at Electric Avenue this Friday (5th March) promises to be an early contender for “GIG of the Year”, with the brilliant Fionn Regan kicking off his Irish Tour with support from the 7 piece Danny & The Champions Of The World.  As an added treat, Shane Barry’s “Rubber Soul” combo will follow on with a midnight show of rock covers to keep you entertained into the early hours.

As a singer, lyricist and musician, Fionn Regan fizzes with bravado and wit. The album was loved by the critics, sold in large quantities all over the world and was nominated for the prestigious Mercury and Choice music awards. Fionn has just released his follow up album, “The Shadow Of An Empire”, which has again received Dylan comparisons (this time to his late 60’s and mid-70s Electric peaks) and has already received 4 star reviews in the respected Mojo, Q and Uncut magazines. The album shot straight into the Top 20 albums chart and Fionn and his band will be playing the highlights of both albums at The Avenue this Friday.

Danny Wilson was the singer and songwriter for much loved “Americana” cult band Grand Drive. His new combo The Champions Of The World, have just released a brilliant debut album “Streets Of Our Time”. that has had the critics salivating as follows:
