Inistioge Summer Festival

inishtioge-Summer-FestivalFollowing the huge success of last year’s event the Inistioge Summer Festival is back! Once again the beautiful village of Inistioge will form the backdrop for this traditional family festival of fun. This year the highlights include; a fire-juggler, stilt- walker and penny-farthing entertainer from the Wobbly Circus, as well as archery, dog show and free bouncy castle.

Family entertainment and activities will run from 1pm-5:30pm at the GAA Hurling Pitch with the grand opening at 2pm with local resident and IFA President John Bryan cutting the ribbon. All funds raised will be used to help the local community development project. The entry fee to the event is €7 for adults, €5 OAP’s/Students and all children go free.

Day time attractions will include (Sunday, June6th from 1.00pm – 5:30pm): Felt Workshop – Irish Dancing – Bouncy Castle – Bucking Bronco – Sumo Wrestling – Grand Raffle – Arts and Crafts – Gourmet Foods – Graiguenamanagh Brass Band – Barbeque – Snack Shop – Teas & Cakes – Wheel of Fortune – Dog Show – Face Painting – Beautician – Archery – Bungee Slide – Hip-hop Display – Karate Display – Mouse-Trap – Stocks – Welly Throwing – Children’s Races from 3pm – Guess Weight of the Lamb – Traditional games 7-a-side Football Championship – Fortune Teller – Name the Teddy – Stilt-Walker – Fire Juggler – Pony Rides – Penny-farthing Entertainer.

Following the day time entertainment popular local band Fourpenny Rock will play in the village square with their first set commencing at 6pm.
