This years fleadh is scheduled for Saturday August 7th and is to be held once again at the ground of Jack Meade’s, Cheekpoint Road, Waterford.
Traditional music and song has taken a new lease of life and is now more popular than ever, embracing all ages. The Fleadh will cater for a broad spectrum of entertainers to include; traditional music and song, storytelling, dancing, sketches etc.
All proceeds from this years event will go to the South Eastern Cancer Foundation Solas Project to help towards their new building at Williamstown Road Roundabout, Waterford. We intend to furnish details of this event and the Solas Project in later issues.
This event is the brainchild of Pat Phelan and John Meade, two well-known and dedicated ambassadors of traditional music & song in the area. They have put together a stong commitee to ensure the success of this years Fleadh Cheoil Beag.
Because admission is free, there will be various fundraisers beforehand and on the day. All intended performers are requested to contact 087-3731272.
