The launch of SongFest.ie will take place on Monday next at Gleeson’s Bar, Irishtown, Clonmel at 8:00pm. SongFest.ie is rapidly growing in stature and now,in its second year, is a week-long festival of original songwriters from all over the place with much local talent taking part. There will be workshops on song writing, recording and sound engineering. On the business side of entertainment and much more.

This year Declan O’Rourke, one of Irelands great and successful songwriters will make a guest appearance on the final Sunday of the Festival Nov. 9th. and tickets for this show will go on sale at the launch on Monday.

The other main event of SongFest.ie is the Grand Final of The Clonmel Song Contest held at The White Memorial Theatre, Wolf Tone St. Clonmel. Now a major international event the Clonmel Song Contest attracts entries from all over the Globe and has finalists this year from the USA the UK, and Ireland. Tickets for this great event will also go on sale at the Launch on Monday. After that tickets for both events will be available from Golden Discs, Clonmel.
