Special Brew are Ireland’s best Ska Tribute band and they played to a full house on their Waterford debut at Electric Avenue in September last year. The seven-piece band from Dublin had the dance-floor full for the duration of their 2 hour set, and they contain all the essentials for providing a night of Two Tone madness, (keyboards, brass section, guitar, drums, bass and nutty vocalist).

The lads have held down a monthly residency at the famous “ Late Night @ The Gaiety” in Dublin for the best part of a decade now. Their set list is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor, as it includes all the classics by Madness (One Step Beyond, Baggy Trousers, Our House, It Must Be Love), The Specials (A Message To You Rudi, Gangsters, Too Much Too Young, Rat Race), The Beat (Mirror In The Bathroom, Tears Of A Clown, Hand’s Off She’s Mine), Bad Manners (Special Brew, Lip Up Fatty, Lorraine) and other Ska classics like Too Much Pressure (The Selecter) and You Can Get It IIf You Really Want (Desmond Dekker).

Special Brew are back at Electric Avenue on Saturday 6th Feb,. Doors are 9pm, admission is just €5 and DJ Tony Hennessy will be playing the best of classic ska and mod tracks before and after the band.
