Torann at Electric Picnic

Waterford’s very own Torann, the group synonymous the semi-naked percussion antics on the streets of Ireland (and beyond) are appearing at this years Electric Picnic festival.

After two storming performances at the hugely successful Body and Soul Solstice festival in Westmeath earlier in the summer, Body and Soul knew they had to inflict the bands unique brand of mayhem on this years Picnic-ers too.

Said group member, well known local personality (and future local councillor – you read it here first folks!) Andrew R. ‘Bouncer’ Walsh “we’re really looking forward to playing the Picnic this year, it’s a festival we always thought we were made for. We’ve been at this game quite some time now, and it’s great to share the bill with such musical luminaries as Brian Ferry, John Lydon and Crystal Swing.”

The guys are hard at work practicing for their Picnic debut, as well as their other performances leading up to Christmas, including the opening of the National Convention Centre, Dublin, Cyberfest, Co Sligo, a secret performance in Co Kilkenny, the Sugar Club, Dublin and the Thurles Hallow’een festival.

If you are Picnic bound this year, get to the Pi stage for 9pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, for the madness and mischievousness that goes hand in hand with their thunderous ground shaking percussion.
