Sunday was the final round of the audition stages of RTÈ’s All Ireland Talent Show and the show visited Cork City to savour the talent on offer. Judge John Creedon was backed up Sinead Shepard and Michael Healy Rae.

His final five are a mixed bunch and the youngest is Jack Lynch, aka ‘B Boy Six’ from Waterford. Jack is just six years old and is a hip hop and freestlye dancer. When he first started dancing at age five he told his teacher “I wanna be a breaker, I wanna be a breaker. I’ll show you what I can do”.
Jack trains after school every day and even all day Saturday and Sunday! He came second in the All Ireland Hip-Hop Championships this year and also came first in the popping category.

Guitar-playing Toby Bedell, aged 37 and also from Waterford, sang Last Request by Paulo Nutini for his audition. His current job as a sales supply manager has been outsourced and he has been offered a redundancy package. He always regretted not pursuing his music further but the redundancy forced him to re-assess his life. If he hadn’t been made redundant Toby wouldn’t have entered the competition and so feels there is a certain sense of fate about taking part!
John’s 3 remaining acts all hail from Cork, namely, pianist Vlada Fitzgerald, aged 10; dancer Moneeka Murkegee, 13, and 19-year-old Barry Walsh who plays experimental guitar.
This Sunday will see all 5 judges come together for the first time when an act from each of the regions will go head to head!
