Jim Nolan’s new play Sky Road has been snapped up by the Gallery Press Publishers and the book will be launched to coincide with the production of the play at the Theatre Royal from 12th – 20th October. (Signed copies will be available for purchase from the Theatre Royal).

Jim Nolan’s enthralling new play begins on a summer evening in the early 1980s in a coastal village in the south of Ireland. ‘When I looked into your father’s eyes all I could feel was absence; all we could see was the reflection of each other’s guilt.’

According to Gallery Press, Sky Road confirms Jim Nolan’s sense of dramatic form and social concern. By dissecting the morality of private needs and public ambitions it lays bare the tension between loyalty and responsibility and posits the way a family might reassemble a life in the aftermath of tragedy.

Booking for Sky Road is now open online at or on 051 874402.
