The King is back!

THE Irish Elvis Show, performed by Cal Callaghan, has been called “one of the best in Europe” and will highlight Summer in the City on John Robert’s Square this Friday, 8th August, 5-7pm.

Cal’s Elvis show is so much more than an impersonation.

He brings the outfits, the hits, the humour and all the moves to a two-hour show that will have you on your feet from start to finish.

As well as all the tunes we all know and love such as “Suspicious Minds”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Devil in Disguise” and “Burning Love”, Cal also sings some of the covers that Elvis himself sang such as “Unchained Melody” and “My Way”.

It will look and sound like you are at a real Elvis concert and Cal also brings something special for the ladies and the true Elvis fans – you’ll have to wait and see for yourself what that is!

And if you can’t make that gig, fear not as he’ll be performing in the Cleaboy pub at 10pm on Saturday, 9th August.

Elsewhere this weekend, the Summer in the City Programme will be bringing fun time to kids on Friday from 3pm-5pm and Saturday from 12:30-2:30pm, with face painting and balloon modelling.

The Barrack Street Band will be performing on the William Vincent Wallace Plaza from 2pm on Saturday and Rubber Soul will be playing on the main John Robert’s Square from 2:30pm.

Meanwhile in Bailey’s New Street Ashley Loftus and Jimi Cullen will be entertaining the masses with a host of fine originals with a splash of covers thrown in for good measure.

That gig kicks off at the back of The Munster at 4:30pm.
