On Waterford Rose hopefuls reently gathered at the Woodlands Hotel for their briefing of what is in store for them on Saturday, 19th April at their Gala Rose Ball selection.
“Can you handle the spirit and fun of17 fellow roses to meet, open doors to opportunities, learn about and meet plenty of new life-long friends. The Waterford Rose selection of 2008 promises to be all of the above and more. It will be a life changing experience for one lucky rose” commented Peter Cooney, Waterford Co Ordinator..
‘‘This year our selection process will be part of a Gala Rose Ball on Sat 19th of April at the Woodlands Hotel where Roses will appear on stage to speak with our MC Brendan Mc Ardle from R.T.E and get the chance to perform their party piece”.
All entrants will be interviewed by a judging panel prior to Rose Ball Selection night.
Once again the winning Rose in each county will receive a range of prizes from the Rose Centre including a cash prize of €1000 kindly sponsored by Woodlands Hotel.
‘‘There is plenty of fun to be had, prestigious prizes to be gained and we will carry a raffle with the proceeds going to a charity to be nominated by the Waterford Rose selected on the night. So come on and support your Waterford Roses”.
Tickets for Rose Ball at €60 are on sale in the Woodlands Hotel from Thursday 3rd of April.
