Carrick-on-Suir would be
better off within the Waterford
constituency.
In an interesting addition
to the local authority merger
debate which has won many
headlines on either side of the
River Suir, Deputy McGrath
has suggested that Carrick
would politically benefit from a
‘transfer’ to Port Láirge.
Despite it being a move that would undoubtedly cost him votes in a future general election, Tipperary South TD Mattie McGrath believes Carrick-on-Suir would be better off within the Waterford constituency.
