Red Kettle cancels final performance of Riddley Walker

Red Kettle would like to thank all the audience members who gave us their gracious support on Saturday the 17th of November when it became impossible for us to hold our final performance of Riddley Walker. High winds and torrential downpours created unacceptible health and safety risks for the audience, cast and crew of Riddley Walker. Moments before the show was set to begin Red Kettle’s Production Department, Executive and Board members made a unanimous decision to cancel the show. Audience members were invited in to the Woodlands Hotel where the cast performed selected sequences from the play. The impromptu performance was warmly received and many audience members stayed on at the Brasscock Bar chatting with cast and crew until late in the evening. Red Kettle will be contacting audience members this week to offer them the opportunity to exchange their unused tickets for tickets to the January revival of Boy Soldier in Garter Lane or to apply for a refund.
