Firstly, big thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting our two firsts last weekend, where on Friday we had our first Techno/Minimal night called Re:Tech. Great night had by all & we will have full details of our next Re:Tech night very soon. Also on Saturday we had our 1st international guest when Nordic Trax boss Luke McKeehan flew in from Canada for his first ever Irish date. It was one deadly night & dont forget the latest offering from the Nordic Trax label is Re:Publik’s very own Gavin Boyce with his “Sometimes It’s Me” ep which is available from online record stores like Juno.co.uk. Re:Publik would like to wish Gavin the best of luck with this release & we are sure it’s going to be a huge seller.

The Loft Sessions continue this week with the first throw down for Febuary. This Saturday 2nd will see Re:Publik ‘ressies’ Martin Roche & Paul Bryan joined by Kilkenny’s House guru Eddie Galvin. Doors open at 10.30 & entrance is beside dj booth in Electric Avenue. Admission is €8.

The Febuary fun doesn’t stop there, as we have our second international guest coming the following week, Saturday 9th, in the form of Mantis Records king ATJAZZ. This UK dj has been at the forefront of Europe’s deep house scene for many years & we will have full details on this next week.

But our news doesn’t end there, Re:Publik has been in talks with agents and Djs from all over the world and are sorting out some proper quality acts to entertain our clubbers over the summer season. Re:Publik is all about bringing quality djs to our regulars at a reasonable price and we have some gems lined up. So far djs confirmed are Dj Deep (Deeply Rooted, France), Late Nite Society (Tango, USA) Eddie Leader (Slum Science, Huddtraxx) and one of the world’s best deep house DJs and Waterford favourite Kerri Chandler (King St, USA). More acts TBA soon.

And of course we have our weekly web radio show every Thursday night @ 10pm on www.radio-myhouse-yourhouse.net. and speaking of Myhouse-Yourhouse, they, along with ourselves at RePublik and BBQ Music are putting together our line-up for this year’s Miami Winter Music Conference, which again for the second year we will run 3 whole days of parties.

Some of the best djs and acts on the underground house scene will be joining the MHYH family including names like Bear Who?, Don Tinsley, Demarkus Lewis, Luke Mckeehan , East St Louis Players and more TBC. The conference happens from the 26th – 30th of March and for those not attending the MHYH, the 3 day party will be broadcast live from the RePublik and MHYH website, full line up as soon as we have them confirmed.
