Driver’s suspicious approach to young girls in Tramore – Gardai involved
Gardaí in Tramore are interested in talking to the owner – or anyone who might know who the owner is – of a blue car, possibly a Volkswagen Golf, identified in connection with a suspicious approach made to two young girls in the town last week.
On Monday, June 14th at around 4.45pm the driver of the vehicle shouted at the 11-year-olds, who were walking in the Ballycarnane/Glenview area, if they wanted to get into the car. They ran away and the incident was subsequently reported to the Gardaí.
Though a Garda spokesman said there was no question of any attempt to abduct the girls, parents locally are obviously concerned, and are advised to be vigilant about their children’s whereabouts and to warn them accordingly.
