€1m library project mooted for Ferrybank
A €1 million library and local services project is being planned for the still vacant Ferrybank Shopping centre which is expected to open for business next April.
The Minister for the Environment, Deputy Phil Hogan, has asked his Department officials to explore the possibility of opening a new library and providing local services at Ferrybank Shopping Centre which is built but not open yet.
The plan would include 6,000 square feet of ground floor space which would house a library and essential modern services for the people of Ferrybank and South Kilkenny.
