A site just off the Outer Ring Road has been identified as the location for Waterford’s proposed second-level Educate Together school.
Richie Murphy, accommodation officer on the project committee that is working to set up the school, says: “Parents of the more than 200 students who have already pre-enrolled are very pleased with the convenience and suitability of the location.”
The Educate Together philosophy is based on four key principles: multi-denominational, child-centred, co-educational and democratically-run. The project committee in Waterford is working hard to fill the current gap in second-level education in our area by ensuring that the parents and children of the Southeast have the option to choose this type of education.
Educate Together already has an enviable track record in Waterford, with the thriving Educate Together primary school now in its sixth year. Pre-enrolment for the second-level school is open and numbers are already high. See www.secondleveletw.com or e-mail contact@secondleveletw.com for more information.
