Ferrybank filling station robbery
A man has been arrested and held for questioning in connection with an armed robbery at a service station in Ferrybank on Wednesday night.
A male armed with what’s believed to have been a knife entered the station on the New Ross Road at about 10pm and threatened staff. He fled the scene on foot with a small quantity of cash.
Waterford Gardai were notified and about four hours later they arrested a male in the Dunmore Road area of the city. A plastic bag with a sum of money, a balaclava, and a hoody were recovered in a follow-up search of the area.
