Four Gardai sent for trial

Four Waterford Gardai were sent for trial when they appeared in the District Court in Waterford on Thursday last on charges arising out of an incident in New St, Waterford, on January 29, 2010.

Judge David Kennedy returned for trial Daniel Hickey, Alan Kissane and Marta McEnery on charges of assaulting Anthony Hollness causing him harm.

Garda John Burke was sent for trial on charges of attempting without reasonable excuse to impede an investigation of an arrestable offence, an assault on Anthony Hollness. He is also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

    good man hollie best of luck mate u didnt deserve that.Just to easy for the police to pick on someone and presume ur a scumbag so nice to c the courts taking the right action when this type of assault allegegly happens.best of luck

    Now if the courts show the same grit going after the scumbags around the city as they did in going after the cops maybe the city would be safer.
