Said Waterford Chamber CEO Nick Donnelly: "This event presents a fantastic opportunity for people in business to get a greater understanding of how an organisation like Genzyme works and how to create a high trust teams in a high performing workplace.
"Not alone will we hear from the team at Genzyme Waterford, but also from the Best Small Workplace 2015, Kerry-based Promed and, of course, there will be representatives from Great Place to Work."
Mr Donnelly added: "Both Genzyme and Promed worked hard to achieve their goals and while success and national recognition didn’t happen overnight, they both have inspirational stories to share while also offering unique perspectives on the challenges faced in establishing high trust at work."
According to Rhona Buckley, Business Development Manager at Great Place to Work: "We know how inspiring it can be to hear about the journeys that other organisations have made on their way to establishing a culture of high trust in their workplaces.
Sometimes, the companies on our Best Workplaces in Ireland lists can make their success look effortless, almost as if they didn't even have to try – but once they open their doors and you have the opportunity to hear them speak candidly about the issues and challenges that they encountered on their journey, you realise that it takes a lot of effort to create that culture."
Ms Buckley concluded: "However, you also realise that any company can be great once their leadership team has a genuine intent to do so and takes the time to put in a sustained effort."
The Great Place to Work programme is open to employers with 20 or more employees.
