Two well-known and hugely popular local employees of Waterford County Council are in a serious but thankfully stable condition at Waterford Regional Hospital following a multiple vehicle collision on the main N25 near the Pike at Kilineen, Dungarvan last Friday morning.

Sean McCarthy and Gerry Dalton were removed by ambulance to the hospital and while both sustained multiple injuries, some of them very serious, they at least escaped with their lives.
