Matt Keane meets: Kieran Kennedy

KieranKennedyThousands of Waterford people are driving today with a full driving licence thanks to the dedication of Kieran Kennedy, a man who really loves his job behind the wheel.

“When I teach people to drive properly and later when they pass their driving test I get a wonderful kick from their success,” he said. “It’s like one of my own family have completed their task and that fact will never change.”

Those were the opening comments of Kieran when we spoke last weekend. An outgoing person, Kieran has become something of a folk hero when it comes to teaching people how to drive.

He outlined his path into his chosen career. “I was born in Limerick city but came to Waterford when I was two years old.

    Kieran thought me to drive absolutly brilliant and one of the nicest person you could ever meet in your life. A true gent and lovely person that genuinly cares about and respects his students. Would reccomend Kieran to anyone top class gent and teacher
