It’s now widely anticipated that Waterford’s North Quay will be granted Strategic Development Zone status at this (Tuesday) morning’s Cabinet meeting, which would permit the fast-tracking of its long awaited development.
According to Minister of State Paudie Coffey, this designation will bring certainty to the entire brownfield site “that has the potential to be a game-changer for our city and our region”.
Minister Coffey added: “The North Quays site is currently a black mark on Waterford City but has huge potential to deliver additional office space for the region and improve connectivity across the River Suir.”
