Recruitment of lifeguards under way
Lifeguards will be on duty on Waterford’s beaches this summer after all, the County Council having received confirmation from the Department of Finance that they were exempt from the government’s general staffing embargo.
Recruitment by the Council is currently under way and twenty will be taken on altogether. They will service Tramore, Clonea, Dunmore East and Ardmore through July and August. Additionally, Tramore will be provided with weekend cover through June.
