Compar AG Robotics provider Compar AG has announced 15 new jobs over three years, to include mechanical and electrical engineering, finance, sales, marketing and support functions.

The roles will be created at a new Engineering Development and Sales Centre that the company – a leader in specialised image processing for the medical and pharma market – intends establishing in Waterford.

This project is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland. Welcoming the announcement, Minister for Training and Skills, John Halligan, noted that CSO figures have revealed the monthly unemployment rate has dropped to 7.7 per cent but warned against complacency.

“I want to ensure that we continue to put the right policies in place to ensure an environment for job growth is developed right across the county including the south east”, Minister Halligan added.
