T&H Doolan’s pub is expected to open within the next two months under its new management team.
Work is underway on conservation and archaeological requirements at the famed Georges’ Street premises and new owners the Watchhorn family, from Kilkenny, expect to create 30 jobs at the pub by the end of the summer.
The bar will trade as ‘The Unconquerable City Bar Ltd’ but is expected to also retain the name T&H’s on the premises.
The Watchhorn family paid over €500,000 for the premises back in March, when they also pledged to further invest in the historic building prior to opening.
The family’s interests also include Biddy Earlys and Dylan Whisky Bar in Kilkenny.
