Late Robbie Walker
It was with shock and sadness that the community of Stradbally learned of the untimely death of Robbie Walker, Tramore and formerly of Stradbally.
Robbie’s remains were brought to Holy Cross Church Stradbally on Thursday 11th March for his funeral Mass at 1pm concelebrated by Fr.Jerry Condon PP, Fr.Michael Enright and Fr.C.O’Donnell, OFM. Brendan and Noel Clancy, nephews provided traditional airs at the beginning and the entrance hymn was sung by Melissa Fennell niece. The readings were shared by Aimee Fennell (niece) and Michael McEvoy. The responsorial psalm “Eagles Wings” was sung by Melissa Fennell. The Offertory gifts representing Robbie’s life were brought to the altar by family and friends. The prayers of the faithful were shared by Niki, Kelsie, Jodi, Patrick and Deirdre. The eulogy was shared by Alan Walker, Pat Fennell and Anthony Walshe. The graveside oration was given by Tom Cunningham Chairman of the County Board. The Cuhlainn was played by Brendan and Noel Clancy also at the graveside before Robbie was laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Bernie (wife), son Alan, daughter Jenny, father Bob Walker, brother Jimmy, sisters Rosemary, Deirdre, Bernadette, Atlanta USA, brothers-in-law, nieces, relatives, friends and the extended family.
