It was a very tense time with much more going on than was reported on the BBC.What happened was truly inexcusable, rioting and thieving on a grand scale. The politicians and the media quite rightly condemned the looters and the courts have had all night sittings handing down jail sentences. However I do wonder where the self same politicians and journalists were when the bankers pillaged and looted our economy. Both the bankers and the rioters were motivated by the same thing; GREED. That , sadly is where the similarity ends. There will be no jail time for the bankers. I live in London, a mile away from where the major rioting took place.
