CF patients’ plight a national disgrace
When I read of Taoiseach Enda Kenny re-iterating his “support for the proper provision of services for cystic fibrosis (CF) sufferers” in the Dáil recently, I was compelled to make a phonecall.
At the other end of the line was Fiddown resident Mary Walsh, whose son Noel succumbed to the ravages of CF in 2006, having borne his suffering with astonishing dignity.
