Munster Express Online

On Thursday January 21st the school will have its annual open night. This provides sixth class students and their parents with an opportunity to view life in CBS Tramore.

Lots of information about subjects, timetables, policies and school life in general will be provided. A guided tour of the school will follow and then light refreshments.

Congratulations to Jack Murphy and David Connolly who secured places on the Irish International basketball team. Congratulations are also extended to Harry Walsh, transition year, on winning the under 16 indoor tennis title.

Thanks to all those who participated in and supported the Baldy Man run on December 27th. We would ask that all sponsorship cards be returned to the school as soon as possible.

On Tuesday 19th the school had a non-uniform day to raise funds for the Haitian Earthquake appeal.

CBS Hurling

On this Wednesday Jan 20th Tramore CBS take on that renowned college Criost Ri from Cork city in the quarter final of the Senior hurling Munster

Schools championship. It is great to see three Waterford schools contesting the quarter finals of this prestigious Munster competition.

Tramore CBS recorded notable victories against Youghal and Ennis and hopefully they will do Waterford proud and qualify for the Munster semi-final.

This year again Tramore CBS are entered in the Rice Cup – an under 14 hurling competition for CBS schools- where they will come up against some of the top hurling colleges in Ireland.

It is organised on a one day blitz and Tramore CBS will play against Thurles, Clonmnel, Youghal and Midleton on Wed 24th March in Thurles. All members of the panel are asked to make a big effort in training.

The under 14 Waterford schools hurling championship will be commencing very soon.

All members of the under 15 hurling Munster panel must maintain their effort and endeavour at all the training sessions in preparation for their Munster championship match against Colaiste Clement, Limerick in early February.
