On Saturday 27th March the Tramore Credit Union held their annual Talent Contest in the Stella Maris Hall. This is the second year of the show and it looks like that it will run for a long time, going by the calibre of talent that performed. The audience were entertained for nearly three hours by the fourteen acts that took part which included rock bands, singer song writers, dance troupes, solo artists and a futuristic drum band and a special mention for Heather McGrath who was performing in her first talent show, singing solo with guitar, she has the most poweful voice for a girl of thirteen years of age.
The show gave an insight of the talented young people that are out there performing in the area of music and arts. On the night it was a rock band that came out on top going by the name of Kalis who performed their own piece winning the top prize of €1000. It was a very difficult night for the four judges with such a variety of talent on display.
The proceed from the night went to a very worthy recipient Tramore Youth Booth Café, this is a place for young teens to hang out on the Main Street in Tramore. Look forward to seeing you all back next year and I am sure that there will be a lot of new talent as well.
