Arts Week

The grand opening of Arts week took place Thursday 4th March in the Majestic Hotel Tramore. Art works from our students were displayed and local artist and Red Kettle director Ben Hennessy performed the official opening.

The auction of students work, led by auctioneer Ward Griffin raised €3,500 for Waterford Hospice. The occasion, organised by the Stella Maris Arts Committee and Ms Julie Hickey was undoubtedly a great success. We’re looking forward to next year already!:)

Transition year students travelled to cork on Wednesday 10th of March to take part in the Young Social Innovators programme. They presented their project entitled “Scam busters”. This project aims to highlight and target illegal door-to-door clothing collections.

Fame

Stella Maris School, Tramore who are performing ‘‘Fame’’ in the Theatre Royal, The Mall, Waterford on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 18th, 19th and 20th March, 2010.
