All Ireland Juvenile Championships

Waterford athletes are due to compete at the All-Ireland Championships under 12-19 in Athlone on Saturday and Sunday next. The programme begins both days at 10am and a full timetable can be found on the Athletics Ireland website. Day 3 of the championships will be held on Saturday, March 29th.

Also on Saturday next the schools’ international cross-country fixture goes ahead in Bolton, England.

Mallow 10 Miles

On Sunday next the Mallow 10 miles road race has a 12.30 pm start and entries are closed as the full quota of 1200 had entered

Sunday March 30th Munster Novice and Senior Road Championships Carriglea outside
Dungarvan 1 pm.

Friday 4th  April Waterford AC/WIT 5 km 7 pm WIT Sports Campus.

Friday April 11th  Race 1 Ger Wyley Sports Skins Series Ballinroad 5 km, 7 pm.

Sunday April 13th , Splashworld 5 miles Tramore 11 am.

Saturday April 19th Race 2 Ger Wyley Sports/Skins Series Butlerstown 4 miles (note change in distance this year) 7 pm.

World Masters Indoors
Budapest is the venue for the World Masters Indoor Championships from March 25th to 30th , next week where Joe Gough will be among the competitors.


Track and Field.

Open sports coming up in April are The Leevale fixture in Cork IT on Saturday and Sunday April 4th and 6th with junior and seniors on Saturday and juveniles on Sunday.
