Stella Maris bow out with pride intact

Tramore’s Stella Maris senior basketball team bowed out of the All-Ireland league after putting on a great display in the All-Ireland quarter final play offs, which were held in Loretto college, St Stephens Green on Saturday, January 22nd.
Ranked as outsiders in what was their first year competing at ‘B’ level, the seasiders showed their class by qualifying for the national play-offs as South East champions for the sixth consecutive year. Stella Maris started brilliantly against the hosts Loretto College and were one point up at half time. Loretto took control early in the third quarter went on to win after an excellent second half performance.
