Last Sunday morning the Wildcats U12 team travelled to Kilkenny to play in the eagerly awaited U12 Cup Final. Coaches Tony Higgins and Kevin Meehan had their squad well prepared for this big game and despite their unbeaten record in the Kilkenny league this season nothing was being taken for granted against an improving Berkley side.

In the opening quarter Wildcats were first on the scoreboard, a lead they held until the final buzzer. A strong team display with every player contributing on the day resulted in Wildcats running out easy winners in the end. Congratulations to all players and coaches for reaping the rewards of their hard work.

This is a fine squad of players who are looking forward to the much tougher challenges that lie ahead. There will be a presentation evening on Friday 23rd April in Kilkenny where the girls will receive their medals.
