Waterford Wildcats have to shake off the disappointment of the loss in last Saturday’s U-20 Cup Final and focus on this Saturday’s massive SuperLeague game at home in the Mercy gym against Driminagh Dynamos from the southside of Dublin.

At the start of the season Wildcats had two main objectives – one was to make the SuperLeague play-offs and the other was to win the U-20 cup. Sadly they missed out on their cup quest but should they get the better of Driminagh, in what is expected to be one tough contest, they will be right on track for those play-offs in mid-March.

The so called big three of U.L., Glanmire and D.C.U. will most certainly make it to the semi-final playoffs, so that leaves just one spot up for grabs and as results stand it appears to be a straight fight between Wildcats and Driminagh. In round one up in the capital Driminagh proved worthwhile winners when they had 12 points to spare over Wildcats, but since then things have improved in the Wildcats camp, especially since the return of Kate Maher from the States
