Stradbally 0-13; Ardmore 1-6

Holders Stradbally are safely through to the semi-finals of the Senior Championship after a fully-deserved four-point win over Ardmore in Fraher Field last Sunday evening.

However, it wasn’t until the second half that Stradbally threw off the shackles and showed those in attendance what they are really capable of.

The first half of this game was relatively low scoring and at times the quality of the play wasn’t brilliant. Stradbally took the lead in the fifth minute when a lung-bursting run from Tony Grey finished with Robert Aherne scoring.
