John O’Regan Perpetual Trophy Match at Kill Club

The Annual John O’Regan Perpetual Memorial Trophy match recently took place at a very wet Kill GAA Club, where the Under-14 Football Development squads of East and West Waterford went head to head.
The game was a well contested affair and was a credit to both teams played in very difficult conditions throughout.
Kill GAA Club holds the game annually in honour of a truly great GAA man in the late John O’Regan who passed away 28 years ago.
His son Sean is now Kill chairman and is carrying on a proud family tradition of service to Waterford GAA.
The fixture is a fitting tribute to a man who was so suddenly taken from us all those years ago and whose legacy lives to this day and is also fondly remembered by all who attend this game each year.
The game ended in a win for East Waterford on a scoreline of 3-5 to 2-6 over the West who led from the first few minutes right ‘til the death when the East got what proved to be the winning goal very late on.
