Journey’s end for Tallow men

Bruree 1-8;   Tallow 0-6

Following a remarkable run in the junior football championship Tallow’s campaign came to a disappointing end in Kilmallock last Sunday when Limerick champions Bruree stifled the Bridesiders to emerge victorious on a scoreline of 1-8 to 6 points.

According to PRO Liam Mulcahy, “The only regret we would have is that they didn’t do ourselves justice on Sunday as we are capable of so much more. That said it was a very successful year. These lads did the club proud and it was a privilege to be part of it”

Tallow got off to a promising start and led by three points from Stephen Pratt (1f) and JP Grey (2f) after 10 minutes.

Bruree had their home work done, however, having watched the Waterford champions against Kilfenora. They crowded the middle third and stifled Tallow’s normal free-flowing game with their most prolific scorers coming in for some close quarter attention.
