Ballygunner recorded a four-point win over Fourmilewater at Fraher Field on Sunday evening to set up an intriguing semi-final clash with De La Salle.
The city side scored two goals in an eight minute spell in the first half, scores which ultimately proved decisive by full-time.
The opening quarter of this game saw both sides going score for score against each other.
Shane O’Sullivan, Jamie Barron, Shane Walsh, Pauric Mahony and David O’Sullivan all hit scores for their respective sides, who were deadlocked on 0-6 apiece after 15 minutes.
